Welcome to Living Free Loving Life, a place for women who want to live healthy and free in spirit, soul, and body.
I'm Alice Gatten, and I wear many hats. I'm a registered nurse with more than 40 years of experience, a certified health coach, and an author. I'm also an ordained pastor through the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening, co-pastor of The Potter's House Church Zanesville, and founder and president of Hope Outreach, a 501(c)(3) Christian ministry and missions outreach.
But the titles I treasure most are wife, mom, and grandma. I get to live a full, adventurous life, and I wouldn't have any of it without the saving, healing, and delivering grace of Jesus.
Nothing is too broken for God to redeem and restore.
My Story
There was a time when my life looked nothing like it does today. I was addicted to drugs and consumed by self-hatred, selfishness, and thoughts of suicide. But today I am completely restored to a healthy, empowered woman who walks in freedom, strength, and purpose.
I created this site to share the lessons I've learned along the way. My life is proof that nothing is too broken for God to redeem and restore, and that includes your story, too.
Why Health Matters to Me
I spent decades at the bedside, primarily in intensive care, and I saw up close the heartbreaking toll that lifestyle-related diseases take on people and the families who love them. That is what fuels my passion for health and fitness.
It's also why I became a certified health coach. I want to help women restore their health and vitality with practical resources that fit real life.
A Growing Community
When I started building Living Free Loving Life, I had no idea how much there was to learn. Between creating the website and developing resources that will truly help women, there hasn't been much time for blogging. My heart has always been to create practical tools that make a real difference.
As this community grows, so will the website, with new articles, recipes, Bible studies, and resources added regularly.
